2nd Alberto Fiorani Memorial: Sport Fostering Teamwork and Connection

The second edition of the Alberto Fiorani Memorial, Scm Group's corporate sports tournament, concluded with strong participation once again, bringing colleagues together through sport, fair play and team spirit.

The event came to a close on 22 July with the Beach Volleyball and Beach Tennis finals held at the Villa-Ge Sports Centre in Villa Verucchio. Combining friendly competition with social interaction, the tournament once again provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues to connect and spend time together outside the workplace.

The 2026 edition attracted 20 teams and nearly 150 participants, confirming the enthusiasm surrounding this initiative. Match after match, participants demonstrated commitment, mutual respect and a genuine enjoyment of playing together, showing how sport can strengthen relationships, encourage collaboration and reinforce a shared sense of belonging across the Group.

At the end of the tournament, the winning teams received their awards from Pietro Gheller, Director of the Wood Division. All participants were also presented with a commemorative medal in recognition of the enthusiasm, passion and team spirit they brought to the event.

The Alberto Fiorani Memorial has now become a well-established fixture in Scm Group's calendar of employee wellbeing initiatives, promoting the values of participation, collaboration and teamwork that have always been at the heart of the Group's corporate culture.
