SCM Australia at TAFE NSW Trade Open Day 2026

SCM Australia was proud to participate in the TAFE NSW Trade Open Day 2026, held at the TAFE Lidcombe campus, connecting with students, educators, employers and industry partners.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the next generation of woodworking professionals and showcase advanced manufacturing technologies in a hands-on environment.

A key highlight of the day was the live demonstration of the L’invincibile si 3 equipped with the innovative Blade Off system. This predictive safety technology is designed to retract the blade before contact, ensuring maximum operator protection without compromising cutting speed or precision. Visitors had the opportunity to experience the system firsthand, with strong interest and positive feedback throughout the day.

The SCM stand was managed by Ashley Pump and Simon Nanni, who delivered continuous demonstrations and technical insights to attendees.

SCM Australia would also like to thank Paul Kubisch, Team Leader Allied Trades and Agri, Transport and Manufacturing Faculty at TAFE NSW, for hosting the event and supporting industry collaboration.

Boris Chernyshev, SCM Australia Country Manager, attended the event, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting skills development and strengthening connections between education and industry.

Events such as the TAFE NSW Trade Open Day highlight the importance of investing in trades education and fostering collaboration to support the future of the woodworking and manufacturing sectors.

SCM Australia thanks everyone who visited the stand, engaged with the team and explored the technology on display.
