SCM Australia Accelerates: A Strategic Plan to Strengthen Presence, Service and Sales Across Oceania

Celebrating 10 years of direct local presence in 2026, SCM announces significant investments in its sales team, technical service network and distribution partnerships to support long-term growth in Australia and New Zealand.

SCM has announced a major strategic development plan for the Oceania market, aimed at strengthening and structurally expanding the Group’s presence across all areas of the country.

The plan is part of a long-term growth path: in 2026, SCM Australia will celebrate 10 years of direct local presence, marking an important milestone built over time through strong relationships with customers and local partners.

“The Australian and New Zealand markets represent a strategic target for SCM,” says Country Manager Boris Chernyshev. “The investments we are announcing are driven by a long-term vision, laying solid foundations for sustainable growth.”

Expanding the Sales Network

The project includes a significant reinforcement of the sales network, with new professionals and Key Account Managers joining the team to ensure more effective customer coverage and increasingly qualified consultative support.

“Strengthening the Sales team, particularly on Key Accounts, means offering our customers not only advanced technological solutions, but also a consultative approach that is ever closer to their production and business needs,” Boris continues.

Investing in Technical Service

SCM Australia is investing in greater capillarity of its technical service, with the aim of ensuring high standards of after-sales support across all market areas. This confirms the Group’s commitment to being an all-round partner throughout the entire lifecycle of installed solutions.

“Service is a key pillar of our strategy: we want to guarantee operational continuity, fast response times and strong local expertise throughout Oceania,” emphasises the Country Manager.

Two Flagship Technology Centers

As part of its long-term positioning strategy, the Group has consolidated its activities into its two flagship Technology Centers in Sydney and Melbourne.

SCM Australia will continue to maintain local offices in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane to support customers and regional operations, while demonstration and application activities are concentrated in the Sydney and Melbourne Technology Centers to focus investments, expertise and technological capabilities where the company can deliver the highest value and impact. Service, sales and technical support remain fully active across all regions of Australia, ensuring strong local presence and responsiveness to customers nationwide.

This decision reflects a clear strategic direction: concentrating resources in two major hubs that genuinely represent the full technological depth, application capability and industrial strength of Scm Group, including its newly expanded divisions - Mecal and Tecno Logica.

The Sydney Technology Center, covering more than 2,000 square metres, is one of SCM’s largest hubs worldwide and serves as a tangible showcase of the Group’s industrial scale, technological leadership and application expertise.

Both Technology Centers also operate as permanent training hubs for service technicians, sales teams, customers and industry partners.

Strengthening the Distribution Network

SCM Australia is also enhancing its distribution network through new agreements with selected dealers, implementing a hybrid model that integrates direct sales teams and local partners to optimise market coverage and customer proximity in every area of the country.

Strong Market Momentum

This development plan is set against a backdrop of strong growth: SCM Australia reports an order intake increase of 20% in Oceania in 2025 compared to 2024, confirming the solidity of the subsidiary and the market’s confidence in the Group’s solutions and services.

“The results we are achieving confirm the validity of our model and encourage us to continue investing in people, facilities and services to grow together with our customers,” Boris Chernyshev concludes.

With this project, SCM reaffirms its long-term commitment to Australia and New Zealand, focusing on targeted investments and local expertise to support the evolution of Australian manufacturing with technologies, services and know-how of excellence.
