From 20 to 23 October, the glass industry will gather in Düsseldorf for a new edition of Glasstec, the world’s leading trade fair for the sector.
Among the industry’s leading players, Superfici, the SCM Group specialist, will once again be taking part, bringing decades of experience in the design and development of spray coating, roller coating and curtain coating systems for glass finishing.
At the Italian brand’s booth (Hall 16, Stand A04), Glasstec visitors will be able to explore a wide range of solutions covering a broad spectrum of applications: from flat glass processing, delivering striking aesthetic and design effects in line with the latest trends in interior design, to functional finishes such as anti-reflective and anti-condensation coatings for glass sheets used in both indoor and outdoor applications.
For every specific production requirement, the Superfici team will showcase highly targeted and configurable solutions. Among the stand-alone machines, particular attention will be given to roller coating solutions such as valtorta f1, offering high precision and reliability even under the most demanding coating conditions.
In the spray coating segment, mini plus and compact 3 p will demonstrate high efficiency, including when handling small batches.
Among the drying systems, umi-uma will be showcased for continuous flash-off or drying cycles, while air-jet drying systems with IR lamps are also suitable for water-based coatings.
Superfici’s booth will also be a key destination for manufacturers looking for fully automated lines tailored to their specific production requirements, with solutions integrating surface preparation, spray coating, drying, cooling and digital process management.
As a showcase of this engineering capability, Superfici will also present the configuration of an automated spray coating line developed for a major industrial application. At the beginning of the line, a deionizing air blow-off bar ensures thorough cleaning of the workpieces before they enter the compact 3 p spray coating machine. In the spray coating area, the central conveyor system is equipped with a self-rewinding paper protection system for collecting overspray, complemented by an additional paper trolley to optimise productivity and facilitate operator activities.
The process then continues through a first umi-uma counterflow drying tunnel, followed by an air-jet hood equipped with medium-wave IR lamps, and is completed by an air-jet cooling hood. The line is also equipped with software that enables the remote management of the operator interfaces of the different units and integrates functions designed to optimise the energy consumption of the spray coating and drying systems.
This configuration reflects Superfici’s approach to plant engineering: integrated, flexible solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each production process, with a strong focus on efficiency, finish quality and energy consumption optimisation.
